Every contribution makes a difference in our efforts to share and protect the wonders of Haystack Rock.
FOHR knows that keeping Haystack Rock and the marine garden healthy and thriving is a challenge in the face of climate change, plastic pollution, species decline, and impacts from hundreds of thousands of visitors.
Protecting the Rock is now a year-round challenge. The headwinds for conservation are strong but with 20 years of experience and success behind us, we are optimistic about the future and the challenges of keeping Haystack Rock healthy and thriving for the next generations!

• Prevent contaminants, litter, and plastics from entering stormwater runoff, creeks, rivers, and oceans.
• Participate in Citizen Science studies and/or provide photographs to researchers. Birds with Fish is a community science effort that collects photos of marine birds with fish and other prey items to better understand marine bird diets along the Oregon coast.
